Like many Thais, she goes by her nickname. Her full name is Thitaphat, used mostly for official documents and formal settings, but friends, family, and everyone she works with simply call her Taa and that’s what she prefers.
Taa is someone who learns by doing. Her curiosity once led her away from the screen and into the kitchen — quite literally. She studied pastry at Le Cordon Bleu and worked as a pastry cook at The Ritz-Carlton, where precision wasn’t just a guideline, it was a lifestyle. In that world, timing, temperature, texture, and teamwork all mattered. But it was the joy on someone’s face after a single bite that made the hustle worth it. It wasn’t a detour, it was a deep dive. A hands-on way to discover what truly lights her up.
Eventually, that answer circled back to design. She missed it — the process, the problem-solving, the chance to craft experiences people don’t just use, but feel.
In recent years, during the pandemic, Taa shifted into freelance work while dedicating time to care for her family. That pause though unplanned allowed her to reflect, reset, and reignite her passion for thoughtful, human-centered design.
Now, after furthering her education at SCAD, she’s stepping back into the industry with even more intention and clarity than before.
Whether she’s designing a product interface, illustrating a concept, or baking something beautiful for the people she loves — Taa brings her full attention, heart, and sense of purpose to every detail.
She believes this journey doesn’t have a final destination. With every step, she’s growing, always learning, and becoming a better version of the designer and person she set out to be.
